*Miracle man emerges absolutely fit in tests*

*Ahmedabad, May 6 : Miracle man Prahlad Jani alias 'Mataji', who is
surviving without food or drink or even passing stool or urine, was today
declared absolutely fit by the medical experts after a 15-day intensive
clinical observation at a local hospital.*
Jani, 82, is said to be surviving without having food and drinking water
and he has not been passing any urine or stool for last seven decades. The
medical experts of Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences
(DIPAS) undertook an intense medical observation of 'Mataji' who is claimed
to have received some yogic powers by awakening his kundilini.
The main objective of the exercise was to assess the survival mechanism in
the event of natural calamities and for the defence personnel deployed in
extremely hostile conditions.
Giving preliminary details of the exercise to mediapersons, Dr Ila Vazgan of
DIPAS and Dr Sudhir Shah of a local hospital confirmed that Mr Jani had not
consumed any food, or had any water or passed any urine or stool during the
15-day exercise from April 22 to May 6.
The only contact with any form of fluid was during gargling and bathing
periodically during the study beginning from the fifth day.
''Different tests at different times were done as per the protocol and few
of them were repeated. We did his blood tests for haematology, biochemistry,
hormone profile and various other parameters too. The reports were in the
pre-determined safety range throughout the observation period as per the
protocol,'' they said.
